U-Stor Midstates Self
Storage Management was established in
December of 1991 with a total of 4 Self Storage properties
across Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. In the mid 1990's U-Stor
Self Storage began to develop the I-35 corridor through Oklahoma
and Texas.
Twelve properties
were built from 1992 to 1997 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Oklahoma
City areas .
When U-Stor Self Storage was first introduced in the midwest
region of the United States
The developers decided
that it was more cost efficient to build our own sites because
of the way that we run our facilities.
U-Stor
Self Storage builds all of the properties they own with gabled
roofs and brick exteriors to better protect the storage contents.
Construction halted until 2001 in the Texas and Oklahoma areas.
Then l U-Stor Abilene was built and opened shortly thereafter,
development boomed and 8 more U-Stor Self Storage locations were
built through out Texas, including Corpus Christ, Lubbock
and Midland areas.
Currently,
there are well over 100 U-Stor self storage facilities all
over the United States. Recently Car-Go self storage
has become part of the U-Stor Self Storage family and many
facilities carry that name. U-Stor Midstates Management currently
manages 24 facilites in Texas, Oklahoma,
Missouri and Louisiana.
